President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a strong directive to Nigeria’s security agencies following the horrific attack on Naridon Village in Kaduna State, ordering them to hunt down the perpetrators, rescue kidnapped victims, and restore peace to the affected community.
The deadly assault, which occurred in the early hours of Monday in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area, reportedly claimed the lives of about 30 people, including women and children. Several homes were also set ablaze, leaving survivors devastated and raising fresh concerns over insecurity in the region.
Reacting to the tragedy, President Tinubu described the incident as a “barbaric and cowardly act of terror” against innocent citizens, vowing that those responsible would face the full weight of the law.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President has instructed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected communities. Their mission, he said, is to swiftly identify and arrest the attackers, rescue all abducted victims, and ensure normal life returns to the area.
Tinubu emphasized that criminal groups seeking to destabilize Kaduna State or threaten national peace would not be allowed to succeed under his administration.
The President also extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones, as well as Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government, and residents affected by the attack.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving national security, Tinubu said the Federal Government will continue strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and dismantling criminal networks operating across the country.
He further appealed to residents of Kaduna and neighboring communities to support security agencies by providing timely and credible intelligence that could prevent future attacks and speed up rescue operations.
As security forces intensify their search for the attackers, many Nigerians will be watching closely to see whether the latest presidential directive brings justice to the victims and lasting peace to the troubled community.
