Nigerian social media personality Gehgeh has become the center of heated online conversations after videos from his wedding ceremony surfaced, leaving fans and several celebrities in disbelief over what many described as a shocking U-turn.
The marriage has sparked widespread reactions because Gehgeh had built a reputation for repeatedly advising his followers against marriage, often describing it as a financial mistake and encouraging people to opt for having baby mamas or baby daddies instead.
Among those who reacted was actress Evan Okoro, who jokingly blamed Gehgeh for the collapse of her marriage, saying she had trusted his controversial relationship advice.
In a video shared on Instagram, she expressed disbelief, saying in Pidgin English that Gehgeh had always insisted marriage was a scam and even claimed that if he ever got married, it would only be because a woman had used charms on him.
“Na Gehgeh scatter my marriage. He told us say marriage na financial mistake. Gehgeh don disappoint us for street now. He deceive me,” she said while reacting to the viral wedding clips.
Evan Okoro had publicly confirmed the end of her marriage in April 2025, making her reaction one of the most talked-about responses online.
Popular comedian Cute Abiola also questioned the authenticity of the wedding, suggesting it might be a prank.
“Are you serious or you’re joking? Just tell me what I’m seeing online is not true. This boy nearly spoiled my life one year ago. Do you know the number of boys you have spoiled? You now go and marry?” he wrote on Instagram.
Entertainment blogger Tunde Ednut also joined the conversation with a brief but curious reaction, asking, “Wait oo! Is Gehgeh married?”
Cute Abiola later added that he was grateful he had stopped following Gehgeh’s relationship teachings before they affected his personal life.
