Another night. Another tragedy.
Gunmen have launched a deadly attack in Kaduna State, killing three people and abducting several villagers, including a Catholic priest, once again highlighting Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
What we know so far
The attackers reportedly stormed the community under the cover of darkness, opening fire and causing panic.
Victims include:
- Two security personnel
- One civilian
Several residents were dragged away into the bush, among them a Catholic priest, whose abduction has shocked religious communities nationwide.
“We are not safe”
For residents, this is becoming normal — and that’s the scary part.
Northern communities continue to battle:
- Banditry
- Kidnapping for ransom
- Attacks on security forces
Despite repeated assurances, locals say help often comes too late.
💬 “We don’t sleep anymore. We just wait till morning,” a resident reportedly said.
Pressure mounts on government
Calls are growing for:
- Stronger military presence
- Faster emergency response
- Better intelligence gathering
As families pray for the abducted, Nigerians are asking a painful question:
How many more attacks before real change happens?
