Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has firmly rejected claims by Pastor Chris Okafor that she lied about her accusations against him. Pastor Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, had apologised to Ogala and others he allegedly offended but suggested some of her claims were untrue.
Ogala previously accused Okafor of breaching a marriage promise and has formally demanded ₦1 billion in compensation through her lawyers at Synergy Law Partners. The controversy intensified this week following additional allegations from Pastor Okafor’s children, keeping the matter in the public eye and fueling discussions across social media.
During his address to his congregation on Sunday, Okafor apologised, saying, “To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said, however, I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended.
“To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologize. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended.”
Reacting to the pastor’s statement, Doris Ogala took issue with his claim that her allegations contained lies.
In a post on her Facebook page, the actress accepted the apology but firmly rejected the suggestion that she was lying.
“Chris Okafor, I forgive you but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she said.
