A Nigerian man identified as Uncle Emeka, popularly known online as YANKEE GADGETS.ng (@yankeeplug_), has cried out on social media after being robbed of his PlayStation 5 console and ₦300,000 cash.
Emeka, who recently moved out of his father’s house, revealed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he expressed anger and regret over the loss.
According to him, the robbers carted away the cash he had saved in his wardrobe and his prized gaming console.
Visibly shaken, he lamented that the stolen money was meant for his personal use and vowed never to save again.
“Got robbed, stole PS5 and 300k cash from my wardrobe. I no dey save money again, the rest of this year na for balling. Money wey I no gree spend dem don thief am!!” he wrote.
Beyond the financial loss, Emeka admitted that it was the loss of his PS5 that hurt him the most, adding that he had yet to finish some of his favorite missions.
The incident has sparked conversations online, with many sympathizing with him while others lamented the rising rate of insecurity across Nigeria.
This comes days after the tragic killing of Arise TV anchor Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, who died during a robbery attack in Abuja on September 29.
