Controversial Nigerian relationship coach and social media personality Blessing CEO has been granted ₦20 million bail by the Lagos State Special Offences Court as she continues to face trial over an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud.
The ruling comes about six weeks after the self-acclaimed relationship expert was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre following her arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Delivering his ruling on Thursday, Justice Rahman Oshodi approved the bail application but imposed strict conditions, including an order directing the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to enforce travel restrictions against the defendant until the case is concluded.
Under the bail conditions, Blessing CEO must provide two sureties in like sum, while each surety is required to present proof of deposits valued at ₦20 million maintained for at least three years.
The court’s decision follows the EFCC’s arraignment of Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, over allegations that she fraudulently obtained ₦69,150,000 from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited under the pretext of securing a lease for a property located in the Lekki area of Lagos.
According to the anti-graft agency, the alleged offence occurred in March 2025.
The EFCC charged the social media personality with two counts bordering on obtaining money by false pretences and stealing.
However, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to all charges when she was arraigned before the court, maintaining her innocence as the legal proceedings continue.
Following Thursday’s ruling, the court adjourned the matter until October 12, 2026, when the trial is expected to resume.
The case has continued to attract widespread public attention due to Blessing CEO’s popularity on social media, where she is known for her outspoken opinions on relationships, marriage and personal development.
With the trial still ongoing, the court’s latest ruling means the media personality can regain her freedom temporarily but must remain in Nigeria and comply with all bail conditions pending the final determination of the case.
