Chaos at ADC Meeting: Tense Abuja Stakeholders Gathering Erupts as Heated Clash Goes Viral
What was expected to be a routine political stakeholders’ meeting reportedly took an unexpected turn in Abuja after tensions boiled over and transformed into a dramatic scene now spreading rapidly online.
A viral video capturing moments from an African Democratic Congress (ADC) stakeholders’ meeting has ignited conversations after a gathering initially described as peaceful reportedly descended into confrontation and confusion.
The incident reportedly occurred ahead of the distribution of materials for the party’s senatorial primary election in the Federal Capital Territory. Party stakeholders, including Ireti Kingibe, had reportedly gathered for discussions surrounding the election process.
According to reports, the Chairman of the election committee, Mr. Abubakar Adams Chika, alongside secretary Mr. David Godwin, had called stakeholders to the FCT chapter secretariat to explain procedures connected to the primary exercise.
However, events allegedly took a different direction shortly after the meeting ended.
Reports indicate that a man identified as Tijani Mubarak and several others allegedly arrived at the venue, escalating tensions almost immediately. According to details surrounding the incident, Tijani reportedly confronted the committee chairman over an invitation for a private discussion that was allegedly not honored.
What followed was a heated verbal exchange, with the viral video capturing moments of rising tension that quickly gained attention online.
Reports also suggest that Tijani was allegedly opposed to the emergence of Senator Ireti Kingibe as the party’s candidate for the FCT senatorial election. Despite the reported tension and disagreement, Ireti Kingibe was later declared the winner of the primary election.
The incident has once again placed attention on internal party dynamics and political disagreements that sometimes emerge during primary contests.
As the video continues circulating online, many observers are now asking a larger question: Was this merely an isolated disagreement, or could it signal deeper tensions within the party ahead of future political contests?
