The Nigerian social media space has been set on fire after a young woman declared that all men automatically owe women money as compensation for centuries of systemic oppression.
In a viral video, the outspoken lady compared men’s financial duty to women with the demand for reparations by Black Americans in the United States. According to her, men have historically deprived women of economic opportunities, healthcare, political power, and financial independence — and must therefore “pay their debt.”
“If I meet any man right now, you owe me money,” she said firmly, dismissing the idea of couples splitting bills equally.
The woman went further to defend sex work, insisting it should be fully embraced within feminism. She questioned why some feminists exclude sex workers and trans women, stressing that there is nothing shameful about either sex work or women demanding money from men.
🔥 Rejection of “50-50” ideology
She rejected the popular “50-50” dating principle, describing it as a concept men invented to dilute women’s calls for equality. According to her, equal bill-splitting is simply another strategy for men to avoid responsibility while retaining control in relationships.
She concluded by stating that any man unwilling to provide financially has “no place in her life,” arguing that the imbalance women face historically makes men perpetually indebted to women.

The clip has sparked heated debates across TikTok, X (Twitter), and Instagram. While critics slammed her comments as extreme and entitled, others argued she was raising valid points about the historic and ongoing disadvantages faced by women in society.
