It was another round of drama on social media as Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, clashed with a fan who advised him to reconcile with his twin brother and former music partner, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy).
Naija News reports that the incident started after Peter shared a throwback picture on his Twitter account, but fans quickly noticed Paul was missing from the photo.
One bold fan reacted sharply, urging him to “kill the pride” and bring back the glory days of P-Square. According to the user, Peter’s solo career looked like a “struggle” compared to the massive success he once enjoyed with his brother.
The fan wrote:
“Why can’t you just kill the pride, make peace with your brothers and make money. Be like Wike and Fubara. Focus on the money, not your feelings. We miss P-Square and no other duo like P-Square. You alone make you look like an upcoming artiste, you’re struggling with your music.”
Mr P, however, was not having it. He fired back with a short but dismissive response:
“Cry harder! Take this.”
The exchange didn’t end there. The fan doubled down, revealing he once promoted Peter’s music globally but was disappointed to see him “sinking” despite being a living legend.
He added:
“I can gladly say that I was one of the people who made your music go global with my platform back in the day. So, seeing you sinking while you’re a living legend is a pity because of pride and bad advice; they are destroying what you’ve built.”
Rather than argue further, Peter simply dropped emojis, leaving fans buzzing about his choice to brush off the conversation.
For years, the Okoye brothers have been entangled in family and business disputes. While they’ve had moments of reconciliation, multiple fallouts — especially with their elder brother Jude Okoye’s involvement — have kept the P-Square brand unstable.
Now, with social media fueling new tensions, fans are left wondering if the dream of a permanent P-Square comeback is gone for good.
