In a heartwarming celebration, legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, marked his 50th birthday in Lagos on Friday. Surrounded by family and friends, the event was filled with joy and laughter, but it was his mother-in-law, Philomena Osawaru, who stole the spotlight with her playful yet poignant request.
During the festivities, Mrs. Osawaru expressed her delight at having 2Baba as her son-in-law, showering him with prayers and compliments. However, she also made her expectations clear, urging the couple to consider expanding their family soon. “It’s a joy and delight to have you as my son-in-law… Innocent Idibia, at 50, you’re looking 25. When some of us are praying to age gracefully, God has done it for you already. You will continue to age gracefully, In Jesus’ name. Amen. By the time we come next, we will see the baby crawling around,” she said, eliciting laughter and applause from the audience.
2Baba, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music icons, appeared visibly touched by the goodwill messages as he celebrated this significant milestone in his life.
