Popular Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has once again sparked conversations online after revealing shocking details about her past relationships.
In a recent live session, the actress spoke candidly about her love life, stressing that despite public assumptions, she has never dated a man wealthier than herself. Nkechi admitted that while many associate her with controversies involving men, her relationships have always been based on affection rather than financial benefits.
According to her, she has always been independent and financially stable, yet most of the men in her life could not match her financial status.
“They gave me love, care, and attention,” she explained, “but they could not provide the kind of stability and support I truly desired.”
Nkechi Blessing further pointed out that many men today prefer to be “taken care of like princesses,” a situation she firmly rejects.
Issuing a strong warning to potential suitors, the actress declared: “The next man that comes into my life must come correct. I am not repeating past mistakes.”

“I think all my life, with the little that some of you know about me or with the much that you know about me on the internet, it’s always been about being in one relationship, saga or the other. Then again, I said to myself, this is not what I want to be known for. I don’t want to be that girl who everyone thinks if she doesn’t have a man in her life, she cannot function. That’s not who I am. Because all my life, even with the men in my life, I still do my things myself. Come on. It has always been about me. Not like this man do anything for me. I made a post on the comment and someone said it’s because you are not dating down. The whole relationship that I’ve ever been online was me dating down. Yes. I’ve never dated someone who has more money than I am. And that’s a fact. And not like I was with them because of what they can give to me. They literally cannot give me what I want. The only thing they gave to me was just maybe their love, care and attention. But if it is about being materialistic, that was not it for me so when i say i miss being in a relationship i really miss being babied i miss being you know when you just call me randomly hey babe i’m just checking on you i think i have i have stayed long enough is it i don’t know i don’t know just need to focus on other aspects of my life because i cannot be known for always coming online to fight my exes when my mates are doing big things so i think i i have taken a long break from relationship one year is enough to heal and you know find love again and then move on because the truth is i’m a lover girl Yeah, I love to love. I love to be in love. I love when I just be around my man. I am very clingy, just in case you don’t know. Yes, I am. The fact that I was born February 14 also added to the fact that I love to love. I am someone who loves seeing people in love. So for the past one year, anytime I scroll through Instagram, I see loved up videos of couples. It makes me… I’m not a hater. If not, I will drop bad, bad comments. But then again… I miss being in love. So to the very next man that is planning or trying to come into my life, you must come correct. I have dated down three times. I am not about to date down anymore. You must meet my standards because the fact remains, I have everything going on for myself already. So anybody that is coming into my life right now must be someone who has way more than I do. Because I’m not trying to babysit no man no more. Because the men we have out there, most of them are princesses. They want a woman who is going to take care of 100% of the abuse.”
