Nollywood star Timini Egbuson has opened up about one of the most painful regrets of his life—losing the woman he believes was his soulmate.
In a candid interview with Jay On Air, Timini revealed that his intense focus on work and financial success created distance in the relationship. Though there were no major issues, his partner simply wanted him to be present and emotionally engaged.
Timini explained that he thought providing money was enough to show love, but over time, this mindset created a gap. She eventually moved on and married someone who could offer the attention he could not.
Reflecting on the experience, he emphasized the importance of emotional presence, active listening, and genuine care in relationships. According to him, focusing solely on financial provision can erode intimacy, attract the wrong partner, or change a good relationship into a transactional one.
Timini also acknowledged past mistakes in selfishness and poor communication but stated that these experiences have taught him self-examination, growth, and accountability. He now values a balanced approach—combining ambition with emotional availability—to maintain a healthy and lasting relationship.
