Inside Tudun Biri Rebuild: How Tinubu’s Directive Transformed Community

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has detailed how Tudun Biri village was rebuilt following the tragic accidental bombing of December 2023, praising President Bola Tinubu for choosing the community as the first beneficiary of the Federal Government’s Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflicts.

Speaking at the commissioning of new homes, a 6km asphalt road, a Primary Healthcare Centre, and a Skills Acquisition Centre, the governor said the intervention reflects an integrated development model focused on dignity, inclusion, and long-term recovery.

According to him, reconstruction went beyond emergency relief to deliver modern housing, healthcare, education, and livelihood support. Farmlands used for development were done through consultations, with affected farmers compensated via agricultural inputs, empowerment programmes, and alternative livelihoods.

Governor Sani noted that Kaduna State rejected the idea of IDP camps, prioritising resettlement within communities to preserve social ties and restore economic life. He added that the new healthcare centre, road linking the airport corridor, school projects, and vocational training facilities are already changing lives.

Vice President Kashim Shettima described the project as proof that compassion and fairness remain central to governance, assuring that similar projects are ongoing nationwide.
