A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the Nigerian medical community as a young doctor reportedly died after working 72 straight hours without rest.
The revelation was made by fellow medic The Bearded Dr. Sina on X (formerly Twitter), who disclosed that the late doctor—a surgery resident fresh out of NYSC—was denied permission to seek medical care before his death.
Dr. Sina has since called for government intervention and a full investigation, stressing the urgent need to address the inhumane working conditions young doctors face.
