President Bola Tinubu has revealed that he and the late Muhammadu Buhari clashed during the formative years of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking while receiving members of The Buhari Organisation (TBO) at the Presidential Villa, Tinubu described Buhari as a “stubborn man,” recalling how they disagreed over the party’s symbol—Buhari wanted parliament, while Tinubu insisted on the broom.
Despite heated arguments, they eventually compromised, finalizing the merger of ACN, CPC, ANPP, and a faction of APGA, which birthed the APC in 2013.
Tinubu also reassured Nigerians of strong economic growth, pointing out that Nigeria had already met its 2025 revenue target by August 2024, the naira had stabilized to around ₦1,450/$, and non-oil revenue was booming despite global economic challenges.
