ADC chieftain and Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu, has warned Nigerians and political opponents against underrating the African Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Arise Television, Momodu said the party is drawing lessons from the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressing that winning power without discipline and structure is not enough.
According to him, the ADC is undergoing a deliberate reset through constitutional reviews and coalition-building to position itself as a credible alternative to the ruling party. He said the party aims to avoid the internal chaos and governance failures that have weakened past opposition efforts.
Momodu described Nigeria as being in a fragile state and insisted that the ADC must clearly differentiate itself from the APC. He added that with heavyweight politicians like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi aligned with the coalition, the party commands massive electoral strength.
He warned that anyone who takes the ADC lightly ahead of 2027 does so at their own risk.
