“Tacha Blasts Critics Over Regina Daniels’ Ordeal: ‘Being a Woman in Nigeria Feels Like a Crime’”

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has slammed critics mocking Nollywood actress Regina Daniels amid her ongoing marital controversy and rape allegations.

Tacha, in a post shared on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), expressed deep frustration over how women are treated in Nigerian society, saying that being a woman in the country “feels like a crime.”

She condemned those who have been ridiculing Regina instead of demanding justice, noting that Nigerians were more focused on her luxurious lifestyle than the alleged assault.

Tacha wrote, “Being a woman in this part of the world feels like a crime. Someone cries out that she’s been raped, drugged, and beaten, and instead of outrage, society starts dragging her for flying private jets and traveling the world. So because she lived well, she deserves to be abused?”

The reality star added that society’s tendency to justify violence against women while envying their success is deeply troubling. She ended her post with the hashtags #ProtectWomen and #JusticeForReginaDaniels, calling for empathy and accountability.

Meanwhile, fellow reality TV star and BBNaija winner Phyna also weighed in on the situation, urging Regina Daniels to think carefully before reconciling with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Phyna, who said she has grown close to Regina, revealed that she was aware of what the actress endured before leaving the marriage. She pleaded with Regina not to return to a situation that could worsen her condition and called on authorities to ensure justice over her brother’s case.
