Nigerian singer Jaywon has publicly criticized the friends and family of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, accusing them of prioritizing their own interests over offering her honest guidance amidst her ongoing marital crisis with husband Ned Nwoko.
The singer, whose real name is Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to share his perspective on the very public dispute. His comments come in the wake of several online posts by Regina, where she lamented her family’s initial warnings against the marriage and pleaded with the public to stop insulting her mother.
Jaywon expressed disappointment in the actress’s inner circle, stating that their focus seems misplaced. He also took a direct aim at Regina’s own approach to the situation, suggesting her social media activity lacks maturity.
“It’s unfortunate that the people around Regina, both friends and family, seem more focused on their own interests than on guiding her with honesty,” Jaywon wrote.
He further emphasized the permanence of her connection to Senator Ned Nwoko, noting, “The things she’s been posting online reflect a lack of maturity and self-awareness. At the end of the day, she shares two children with this man; that bond is for life.”
The singer concluded by advising the actress to seek resolution away from the public eye, asserting that “Social media doesn’t offer healing, it only turns personal issues into public entertainment.”
