Popular Nigerian clergyman, Prophet Odumeje, has stirred fresh reactions after declaring that he is more intelligent than many educated people, despite not attending a university.
Speaking during a church service, the controversial preacher — often called “Indabosky” — used his platform to advise parents on the importance of helping their children choose the right university courses.

Odumeje cautioned parents against allowing their children to settle for random or “less serious” courses simply because those were the only ones available. He stressed that education should be intentional, and that students should study courses aligned with their passion and potential, not just convenience.
“This is not the time to tell your daughter to go and pick any course the lecturer says is available,” Odumeje said.
“Don’t do it. Choose a serious course. I have read a lot of courses, and I know them. That I have not been there doesn’t mean I’ll allow you to make mistakes.”

The self-acclaimed Liquid Metal added that, although he lacks formal academic qualifications, his life experience and intellect make him more “brainy” than many graduates.
“I am more intelligent than even educated ones. If it’s for my brain, I have first-class certificate brain,” he boasted, drawing cheers from his congregation.
Odumeje’s bold statement has since gone viral online, sparking debates about education, intelligence, and real-life wisdom.
