Popular Nollywood actress and media personality, Omotunde Adebowale-David, widely known as Lolo 1, has stirred conversations online after revealing her preference for polygamy over secret extramarital affairs.
The actress made her stance known during a recent podcast appearance with fellow actress Bimbo Akintola, where both discussed relationship honesty, fairness, and modern love dynamics.
Lolo 1 explained that she would rather have a man openly embrace polygamy than secretly keep a mistress while married.
“I would rather a man be polygamous than for him to be married and have a side-chick. That’s the one I would not contend with,” she stated.
According to her, polygamy, when handled with fairness and respect, offers a level of honesty that the “side-chick culture” lacks.
In agreement, Bimbo Akintola noted that the side-chick trend originated from societal pressure on men to marry so-called “wife material” women instead of those they truly love. She stressed the importance of transparency and honesty in building lasting relationships.
