Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has celebrated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, on his 51st birthday, describing him as a true symbol of peace, unity, and Yoruba cultural rebirth.
In a goodwill message released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke praised the monarch’s leadership, which he said transcends ceremonial duties and reflects a mission of societal transformation.
“Kabiyesi has become a voice of wisdom and reconciliation whose reign continues to inspire hope for cultural preservation and national cohesion,” Adeleke stated.
Adeleke Commends Ooni’s Youth Empowerment and Diplomacy
The governor highlighted Ooni Ogunwusi’s remarkable impact in promoting youth empowerment and traditional diplomacy, noting that his innovative leadership has opened opportunities for young Nigerians in diverse fields.
“The Ooni’s reign represents a blend of ancient wisdom and modern vision. Through cultural diplomacy and youth inclusion, he has shown that traditional leadership can coexist with innovation and progress,” Adeleke added.
He further lauded the monarch’s efforts in community development, crediting him for revitalizing Ile-Ife’s social and economic life while fostering unity among traditional rulers within and beyond Osun State.

As the revered monarch marks another year of purposeful reign, Governor Adeleke prayed for God’s continued guidance and strength upon him to keep steering his people toward peace and prosperity.

The Ooni, who ascended the throne in August 2015, has since been widely recognized for his cultural diplomacy, youth development initiatives, and promotion of Nigeria’s heritage on the global stage.
