Customs Officer Found Dead in Katsina Hotel After Night With Three Women

Tragedy struck in Katsina State after a Customs officer, identified as ASC Lawal Tukur, was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances inside a hotel room in Katsina metropolis.

According to reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter), the incident occurred on October 15 at Murjani Hotel.

Hotel workers reportedly found Tukur’s lifeless body around 8:30 a.m., after he failed to check out at the expected time. Alarmed, the management quickly informed the police, who arrived promptly at the scene.

Preliminary findings revealed that the deceased had spent the night with three women before his death. Security sources disclosed that several empty sachets of suspected substances were found in the hotel room’s waste bin, raising suspicions of possible foul play.

According to Makama, the women identified as Khadija Ali (34) from Dutsin Amare Quarters, Aisha Lawal (30) from Ingawa Local Government Area, and Hafsat Yusuf (22) from Brigade Quarters, Kano, were all at the hotel during the incident. It was gathered that Khadija and Aisha spent the night with the deceased, while Hafsat reportedly visited later and also lodged in the same hotel.

The officer’s body was moved to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Katsina, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor. His remains have since been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue to determine the true cause of death.
