Trump Announces Major Breakthrough as Israel Agrees to Initial Gaza Withdrawal Line

President of the United States, Donald Trump, has revealed that Israel has agreed to the “initial withdrawal line” in Gaza, a significant step toward ending the prolonged conflict in the region.

Trump disclosed on Saturday via his Truth Social media platform, stating that the United States has shared the proposal with Hamas for confirmation.

According to him, once Hamas agrees to the terms, the development will lead to an immediate ceasefire and the exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, marking a potential turning point in the Gaza war.

“After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas,” Trump wrote.
“When Hamas confirms, the ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us close to the end of this 3,000-year catastrophe.”

The former U.S. President, who has taken a more direct role in mediating peace between Israel and Hamas, urged global attention to the situation and hinted that a lasting peace could be within reach.

Trump’s announcement followed a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who on Saturday morning said Israel was “on the verge of a very great achievement.”

This comes just a day after Trump publicly ordered Israel to “immediately” stop bombing Gaza, while welcoming Hamas’ partial acceptance of his ultimatum to end the nearly two-year war that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions.

If implemented, the ceasefire would be the most significant diplomatic breakthrough since the conflict began, signaling a possible shift toward long-term stability in the Middle East.
