The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has said President Bola Tinubu is satisfied with the leadership of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, describing the state as one of the most peaceful in Nigeria. Ribadu stated this during a courtesy visit to the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt, where he led a federal delegation to strengthen peace efforts in Ogoniland.
He said the President specifically directed him to thank Governor Fubara for his coordination and leadership in discussions surrounding the resumption of oil activities in Ogoni. Ribadu noted that a new chapter is unfolding in the area, with peace and development taking centre stage.
Federal ministers assured residents of accelerated infrastructure projects, including the East–West Road and environmental remediation, while NNPC reaffirmed its commitment to people-focused development in Ogoni.
