Sokoto Gov Swears in New Kebbe LG Chairman, Issues Strong Warning

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, has sworn in Musa Garba Kuchi as the new Chairman of Kebbe Local Government Area following the death of the elected chairman, Abdullahi Yarima. Kuchi was appointed to complete the late chairman’s tenure.

At the ceremony in Sokoto, Governor Aliyu urged Kuchi to reside within Kebbe LGA and work closely with security agencies, noting the area’s ongoing security challenges. The governor also swore in the State Head of Civil Service, Abdulkadir Ahmed Mohamed, alongside five Special Advisers and 12 Permanent Secretaries.

Aliyu charged the new appointees to uphold discipline, accountability and efficiency in public service. He warned against mismanagement of public funds and stressed punctuality, proper record-keeping and clear roles between political advisers and administrative officers.
