Nicki Minaj Risks Losing $20M Los Angeles Mansion Over Unpaid Court Judgment

American rap superstar Nicki Minaj may soon lose her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles after allegedly failing to pay a court-ordered judgment connected to her husband, Kenneth Petty’s 2019 assault case.

According to court filings from October, a German court had ordered the couple to pay $503,318 to former security chief Thomas Weidenmüller, who accused Petty of assaulting him backstage during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019 — an incident that reportedly left him with a broken jaw and required multiple surgeries.

Documents obtained by The Real Deal revealed that Weidenmüller’s lawyers claimed Minaj’s property has enough value to cover the judgment. The report stated:

“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption… yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment.”

Weidenmüller’s legal team insists that the couple has ignored multiple payment demands, forcing them to seek a court order to auction the mansion and recover the outstanding sum.

As of now, Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty have not issued any official statement regarding the ongoing legal tussle, which adds to the rapper’s growing list of controversies in 2025.
