The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims by Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi that President Bola Tinubu is “missing” or inactive.
In a statement, Lagos APC spokesman Seye Oladejo insisted that the president remains fully engaged in governance, both domestically and internationally. Oladejo emphasized that leadership is measured by policy execution, decision-making, and national impact, not mere public appearances.
The party urged political rivals to focus on substantive issues instead of optics, noting that Tinubu continues to oversee security, coordinate policy, drive economic reforms, and handle diplomatic engagements. According to Oladejo, the president’s visibility should not be confused with effectiveness, highlighting that the outcomes of governance matter more than media presence.
The statement comes amid ongoing debates over Tinubu’s public engagements, with APC reinforcing that the president is actively fulfilling his constitutional duties.
