Hamas ‘Agreeing to Very Important Terms – Trump Says as Gaza Peace Talks Begin in Egypt

United States President Donald Trump has expressed strong optimism about the possibility of achieving a Gaza peace deal, revealing that Hamas is beginning to agree on “very important” issues as indirect negotiations with Israel commence in Egypt.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Monday, October 6, Trump said he was confident that a resolution under his 20-point peace plan was within reach, describing the ongoing talks as a potential breakthrough in one of the world’s most enduring conflicts.

“I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a Gaza deal,” Trump stated. “It’s hard for me to say that, knowing how long people have tried to make this happen—but I believe this time, it’s possible.”

The President reiterated that the U.S. maintains clear red lines in the negotiation process.

“I have red lines. If certain things aren’t met, we’re not going to do it,” he declared, when asked about key conditions in the talks.

When pressed further on whether one of the preconditions includes Hamas agreeing to disarm, Trump responded confidently, noting that the group was already showing signs of flexibility.

“I think we’re doing very well, and I think Hamas has been agreeing to things that are very important,” he said.

The President also dismissed media reports suggesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reservations about the peace process, insisting that the Israeli leader had been supportive.

“Netanyahu has been very positive about the deal,” Trump affirmed.
