The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed that four suspected members of a motorcycle theft syndicate will soon be prosecuted following their arrest and the recovery of a stolen motorcycle.
Police Public Relations Officer, Abayomi Jimoh, said the suspects were apprehended through intelligence-driven operations after they fled Ondo State to evade arrest. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives tracked them to Edo State, where they were arrested.
Jimoh explained that the arrests followed an earlier police operation announced on December 22, 2025, during which two stolen motorcycles were intercepted and a theft network disrupted. Further investigations led to the arrest of four additional suspects and the recovery of one TVS motorcycle.
The suspects, identified as Onyeka, Ekene, Sunday and Abubakar, reportedly made useful confessional statements during preliminary investigations. The police assured that they would be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, warning criminal elements to desist or face the full weight of the law.
