Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has dismissed claims that she used a “pity strategy” to win public sympathy and votes during her time in the house.
Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, the 23-year-old reality star explained that her entry into the BBNaija house was entirely spontaneous and unplanned.
“I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show,” she said. “When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack. I was in Ijebu at the time, and I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning.”
Imisi clarified that her wardrobe and style on the show were not part of any emotional appeal but simply a reflection of her true personality.
“I didn’t have time to go home, and even if I did, I’d have taken the same things because those are what I usually wear outside. That’s just me,” she added.
The reality star emphasized that she only aimed to be herself and let her authentic self resonate with the audience.
Recall that Imisi was crowned BBNaija Season 10 winner, themed “10/10,” on October 5, 2025, taking home the grand prize of ₦150 million, sealing her place among the show’s most talked-about winners.
