Morocco goalkeeper Monir El Kajoui has expressed strong confidence ahead of the Atlas Lions’ AFCON 2025 semi-final showdown with Nigeria.
The highly anticipated encounter will take place in Rabat on Wednesday as both sides battle for a place in the final. Nigeria arrive with an in-form attack, led by Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, who have combined for seven goals in the tournament.
Despite widespread predictions tipping the Super Eagles, El Kajoui insisted Morocco remain focused and unfazed by external opinions. He said the team is concentrating on preparation, unity and executing the coach’s plans on the pitch.
The Atlas Lions are chasing a second Africa Cup of Nations title and will rely on home support and discipline to counter Nigeria’s attacking threat. El Kajoui stressed that only performance on matchday will determine the outcome, as Morocco aim to honour their national colours and reach the final.
