Dumebi Kachikwu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections, has criticized the coalition led by former Senate President David Mark, claiming they have brought Nigeria to ruin.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Kachikwu questioned the intentions of the coalition leaders, emphasizing their failure in previous responsibilities.
“You have to look at the antecedents of those who make up the coalition. Someone like Bolaji Abdullahi and those he represents. These are the people who have brought Nigeria to a ruin,” Kachikwu stated.
He expressed disbelief at their claims of wanting to rescue Nigeria, stating, “You can’t set a house on fire and then say you are the fire brigade who wants to put the fire out.”
Kachikwu further challenged their leadership capabilities, saying, “If they have good leadership qualities, Nigerians will not be complaining. What are they trying to come and do? What nation are they coming to rescue? They have nothing to show for their years of leadership.”
