PDP member Dickson Iroegbu has urged opposition politicians to unite and prevent the All Progressives Congress (APC) from retaining power in the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Arise Television, Iroegbu accused APC of leading 50 million Nigerians into extreme poverty and failing to deliver meaningful governance.
He warned that if APC continues, it could “end Nigeria and its people,” stressing the urgency for collective action against what he described as elite-led mismanagement. Iroegbu highlighted Kano politics as an example of the ruling party’s disconnect from citizens’ needs.
“I am calling on all opposition stakeholders to realign and converge against a common enemy. APC’s mandate is failing, and 2027 will be the people rising against elites who have impoverished them,” he said.
The PDP lawmaker’s remarks signal growing political tension ahead of the 2027 elections, emphasizing unity among opposition groups as key to challenging APC’s hold on power.
