Chelsea have announced that 18-year-old forward Kendry Paez has joined River Plate on loan for the remainder of the season. The young striker was recalled from Strasbourg before completing his move to Argentina, ending his French Ligue 1 stint where he scored once in 15 appearances.
Paez also featured five times in the UEFA Conference League this season. With seven years left on his Chelsea contract, the loan is aimed at giving him regular first-team action, helping him develop and increase his chances of breaking into the Chelsea senior squad next season.
River Plate are expected to provide the perfect platform for the teenager to gain valuable experience in a competitive environment, while Chelsea monitor his progress closely.
