Fubara Denies Supporting ADC Candidates, Blasts False Allegations

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vehemently denied claims that he is backing ADC candidates in the upcoming February 21, 2026 bye-elections. Speaking to THISDAY, Fubara described the allegation as “blatant lies from the pit of hell,” aimed at dividing the APC in Rivers State.

He clarified that the APC in Rivers remains united, and any support for candidates outside the party is false. The governor highlighted that President Bola Tinubu intervened during primaries to ensure peace and encourage support for APC candidates aligned with former Governor Nyesom Wike, such as Napoleon Ukalikpen and Bulabari Henrietta Loolo.

Fubara condemned detractors seeking to create unnecessary discord, assuring party members that he remains committed to APC’s success in the state. He also urged citizens to focus on development issues rather than being misled by baseless political narratives.
