Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will not drop the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in favour of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, as the Rivers political crisis deepens.
Speaking on ARISE News, Fayose said the resolution of the crisis lies with the key actors, stressing that humility and genuine reconciliation are essential. He warned that refusal to seek peace would only prolong instability in the state.
According to Fayose, President Tinubu values loyalty and political structure, noting that Wike remains a trusted ally of the President. He insisted that those expecting Tinubu to sacrifice Wike for Fubara misunderstand the President’s political style.
Fayose urged all parties to embrace dialogue, adding that lasting peace in Rivers State can only come through internal reconciliation and mutual understanding.
