Phrank Shaibu, Special Adviser on Public Communications to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, of being obsessed with opposition figures, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
Shaibu said a government confident in its performance would focus on governance rather than monitoring opposition movements. He was reacting to Keyamo’s social media post suggesting that a prominent opposition figure was preparing to justify accepting a vice-presidential ticket after concluded primaries.
Responding via X, Shaibu described Keyamo’s remarks as ridicule born out of weak arguments, insisting that mockery signals fear, not strength. He warned that governance should take precedence over political taunts, stressing that history ultimately judges actions and consequences, not social media posts.
The exchange has further intensified political tensions ahead of future electoral contests.
