Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, narrowly escaped a violent confrontation on Tuesday during a visit to the palace of the District Head of Dutsi in Katsina State. Reports indicate that aides and security operatives swiftly intervened as tensions escalated, preventing the situation from turning into a physical assault.
Videos circulating online showed a heated scene, with an individual forcefully pulled from the palace amid loud shouts before being rushed away in a waiting vehicle. Sirika, a former minister under the late President Muhammadu Buhari, was said to be on a condolence visit at the time of the incident.
Although the immediate cause of the crowd’s anger remains unclear, the episode has drawn attention due to Sirika’s ongoing prosecution by the EFCC over alleged fraud and abuse of office linked to multiple aviation contracts in Katsina.
