The Rivers State Government has confirmed that Governor Siminalayi Fubara will go ahead with the commissioning of ten key infrastructure projects across multiple LGAs, despite the recent political tension in the state. Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba, announced the schedule in Port Harcourt, highlighting the governor’s continued commitment to governance and development. He thanked President Bola Tinubu for his “timely and fatherly intervention” which ensured the continuity of the administration after a brief disruption.
Anabraba listed the projects set for inauguration from December 10 to 23, including major road expansions, a federal court complex, a zonal hospital, a housing estate, and the Ipo Town–Airport Road Bypass, which will be flagged off for construction. He assured residents of adequate security and urged cooperation to sustain peace.
