Plateau Police Arrest 15 Suspected Criminals Disguised as Commercial Motorcyclists

The Plateau State Police Command has recorded a significant breakthrough in the fight against insecurity with the arrest of fifteen suspected criminals allegedly disguising as commercial motorcyclists across the state. Acting on credible intelligence, officers raided multiple locations and apprehended the suspects, who reportedly matched the description of a notorious gang infiltrating legitimate motorcycle operators while masking their identities.

In a statement issued in Jos, Police PRO SP Alfred Alabo explained that the operation is ongoing, following the State Government’s total ban on commercial motorcycles. He added that despite the ban, some individuals continue to violate the order, posing threats to residents. The Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, urged the public to provide timely information, assuring whistleblowers of full protection as investigations progress. The suspects remain in custody and will be charged once interrogations conclude.
