In a statement, Salis urged the President and Vice President Kashim Shettima to embrace the fearless leadership style of late Chadian President Idriss Derby, known for personally confronting insurgents.
Salis warned that waiting for bandits to strike critical national institutions, including the Presidential Villa, would be disastrous. He called for immediate, pragmatic action to crush banditry and prevent further deterioration as security experts predict heightened insurgent activity during the dry season.
He further advised that Nigeria must transform into a military superpower equipped with sophisticated weaponry and strengthened by massive recruitment across all military branches, ensuring numerical superiority capable of tackling evolving threats.
