Nollywood actress Nkechi Sunday Blessing has revealed the shocking scripts she was offered at the start of her acting career. Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, she disclosed that one of the first scripts handed to her required her to sleep with a dog. According to her, accepting the role would have created a damaging tag that could follow her throughout her career.
Nkechi noted that although she was just a newcomer, she refused to compromise her values. She added that several other young actresses picked up the script immediately, but none of them rose to prominence.
The actress also recalled being offered another extreme role, which she rejected for the same reason—protecting her image before it was destroyed.
She emphasized that some early choices can determine how the industry and the public define an actor.
