Lanre Da Silva Ajayi Celebrates 20 Years of Fashion Excellence
Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, a leading figure in African fashion, is commemorating two decades of influence in Nigerian and global couture. Her Spring/Summer 2026 line, The Anniversary Collection, will be showcased in Lagos on November 16, celebrating her journey of cultural expression and creative evolution.
Since her debut in 2005, Da Silva Ajayi has gained international acclaim, featuring in Vogue and retailing at Milan’s Spiga 2 Concept Store. Her brand, known for its fusion of 1940s vintage glamour with African influences, offers couture, ready-to-wear pieces, jewelry, and hair accessories.
The anniversary event promises a spectacular night with high-profile guests, celebrity models, and live performances by surprise musical acts. Organized by Elizabeth Elohor of Beth Model Management, the showcase aims to blend fashion, music, and art.
As part of her dedication to nurturing new talent, Da Silva Ajayi will relaunch Runway Renaissance, spotlighting three emerging designers focused on sustainability and craftsmanship.
Reflecting on her career, she stated, “Fashion has never been just fabric and thread for me. Clothes hold memories, the scent of celebrations, and the pulse of our ambitions. They are silent witnesses to who we are and who we’re becoming.”
The Anniversary Collection features LDA’s signature styles—grand silhouettes, sculptural sleeves, and intricate details, combining adire with modern textures like Chantilly lace. The collection’s emerald green, gold, and sunlit yellow palette signifies growth, triumph, and joy.
The celebration is supported by partners such as the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Bank of Industry, Standard Chartered Bank, Heineken, and Privé Events, aligning with LDA’s vision of craft, culture, and excellence.
