A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has stirred conversations online after revealing that she has struggled to find genuine happiness since relocating over a year ago.
The woman, known as @jjc6660 on TikTok, opened up about her personal experience in a heartfelt post that resonated with many followers.
She explained that despite living in the UK for a full year, she has only experienced a handful of moments that brought her real joy. According to her, the first was when her family came to visit, and the second was while planning a trip back to Nigeria.
“Yesterday marked one year since I moved to the UK, and I honestly don’t think I’ve been genuinely happy here. I can actually count how many times I’ve been happy—just those two moments,” she said.
Interestingly, the young woman clarified that her unhappiness is not due to loneliness, as she has always preferred spending time alone—even back in Nigeria where she didn’t keep many close friends.
