Tension erupted on social media after a viral video surfaced showing Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele visibly angry with young skit maker Kamo.
In the trending clip, the producer of A Tribe Called Judah confronted Kamo over what she called a “very stupid joke,” expressing strong displeasure at his behaviour.
Akindele, known for her strict work ethic and professionalism, didn’t mince words as she scolded the comedian:
“I’m not playing with you, Kamo. He cracked one very stupid joke with me. So, if you don’t see him in my videos, just know he’s a very annoying brat.”
When Kamo tried to calm the situation, saying “Sorry, mummy,” the actress sharply retorted,
“Who’s your mummy? Stupid boy.”
The heated exchange has since sparked widespread debate online. While some fans believe the moment was genuine, others think it might have been staged or exaggerated for attention.
One user commented, “They’ll settle it. Kamo has done something like this before, and Funke forgave him.”
Another wrote, “Younger content creators need to learn respect. Funke has paid her dues.”
As calls for reconciliation continue, many Nigerians are optimistic that the misunderstanding won’t last long, considering the strong working bond between both entertainers.
