Akpako Master Terry G Debunks Death Rumours, Reaffirms Controversial Stance on His Music
In a dramatic online response, Nigerian singer Terry G has forcefully dismissed widespread rumours of his death, declaring himself to be “very, very sound and healthy.” The singer, born Gabriel Oche Amanyi, took to his social media to address the false reports and simultaneously double down on his controversial claim that his music serves the devil.
The “Akpako Master” revealed that his phone had been buzzing incessantly with calls from concerned fans and associates who had seen the false “R.I.P” announcements online. In a now-deleted video, he stated, “I came to clear your conscience… I am doing very fine, please stop that, I beg you in the name of God.”
However, the singer quickly pivoted to address another trending topic: his past comments on a podcast. He revisited a clip from The Honest Bunch Podcast where he openly declared himself a secular musician who “sings for the devil.”
In his latest address, Terry G was unapologetic, insisting, “Don’t you know I’m serving the devil? He made me successful.” He clarified that his music does not glorify God and firmly stated that his spiritual choices are his personal business.
The video has since sparked a fresh wave of reactions, shifting focus from the death hoax to the singer’s reaffirmed and contentious beliefs about the source of his success.
