Pastor Adeboye’s Wife Reveals How Poisoned New Year Food Killed Their Dog

In a chilling revelation, Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has recounted how poisoned food sent to their home on New Year’s Day killed their dog — narrowly saving the family from tragedy.

Speaking in a video shared with church members, the 77-year-old cleric said the food came as part of the flood of gifts the family received during the festive season. However, something didn’t sit right with her spirit.

“Somebody on one of the New Year Days brought food to our house. I just entered the kitchen and asked who owned it. They said someone brought it. I told them to give it to the dogs,” she said.

Moments later, the dog was found dead after eating the meal.

Mrs. Adeboye revealed that a visitor from London who witnessed the decision was shocked at first — but later realized the danger that had been avoided.

“Imagine that on a New Year Day somebody in the house of Daddy G.O ate that food, or about three or four people ate it. What would have been the news?” she asked the congregation.

She used the story to warn believers about the need for spiritual discernment and caution when receiving gifts, particularly during festive periods.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Foluke, have been married since 1967 and are blessed with three children.
