Tyson Fury Ditches Football After Manchester United’s Decline and England’s Euro 2016 Shame

British heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, has revealed that he has completely lost interest in football — and he blames it on Manchester United’s decline and England’s humiliating Euro 2016 exit.

Fury, once a regular at Old Trafford, admitted that United’s struggles since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013 drained his passion for the sport.

“I’m not a supporter of football really. I used to support United, but because they’re in the s*** now, I’m no supporter of any football teams anymore,” the 37-year-old told Racing TV.

The WBC champion also confessed that England’s shocking 2-1 defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016 was the final straw, marking his total exit from football fandom.

Now, Fury says his focus is on horse racing, calling it his new sporting passion. For many Manchester United fans, his frustration resonates, as the Red Devils continue to endure one of their toughest eras in modern football.
