Amanda Anisimova Clinches China Open Title After Epic Battle Against Linda Noskova in Beijing

American tennis star Amanda Anisimova continued her stellar 2025 season by defeating Czech rising star Linda Noskova 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 to claim the China Open title in Beijing on Sunday.

The third-seeded Anisimova, 24, showcased her resilience and power, bouncing back from a second-set slip to seal the victory in one hour and 46 minutes. The triumph marks her second title of the year and fourth career title overall.

The win comes just a month after her memorable run to the US Open final, where she finished as runner-up to world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

Visibly emotional, Anisimova fell to the court in tears after match point, overwhelmed by the victory.

“It feels incredible. I’ve worked so hard for this moment, and to win here in Beijing means a lot,” she said after lifting the trophy.

Anisimova is now the third American woman to lift the China Open trophy, following Coco Gauff (2024) and Serena Williams, further cementing her place among the elite.

The American dominated the first set in just 23 minutes, not conceding a single game to her opponent. However, Noskova found her rhythm in the second set, breaking Anisimova early to claim it 6-2.

In the deciding set, both players fought fiercely until Anisimova broke for a 4-2 lead, maintaining composure to close the match on her first match point with a clean winner.

The world No. 4, who also reached the Wimbledon final earlier this year, has enjoyed a remarkable rise in rankings—moving from No. 43 last year to her current top-five position.

Anisimova’s path to the title included a stunning semi-final victory over second seed Coco Gauff, where she dominated 6-1, 6-2 in under an hour.

Meanwhile, Noskova, ranked No. 27, was appearing in her first WTA 1000 final, a career milestone despite the loss.

With this victory, Anisimova’s confidence and consistency make her one of the strongest contenders heading into the final stretch of the tennis season.
