Nigerian showbiz entrepreneur and singer, Darey Art-Alade, has opened up about the unique bond he shares with his wife, Deola, revealing how their relationship blossomed from friendship into a powerful personal and professional partnership.
In a recent interview, the 43-year-old explained that their marriage and business synergy developed naturally as they grew together.
From Friendship to Partnership
According to Darey, he oversees the creative vision, while Deola takes charge of the business side. He described their journey as a cross-pollination of talents, built on trust, admiration, and shared growth.
“We always just do things together. Once you enjoy each other’s company and admire each other… She opened my social media accounts for me when I was still an artiste. That is the level of friendship,” he said.
Sharing Strengths, Covering Weaknesses
Darey emphasized that their success did not happen overnight but was the result of mutual learning and teamwork.
“We both learned along the way and we just continued to grow, get stronger, and work to each other’s strengths, and cover each other’s weaknesses. You are not going to have it all figured out immediately, but with willingness, understanding, and cooperation, it works.”
He advised couples to avoid unnecessary pride in relationships, stressing that unity should always come first.
“It is both of you against anybody else. Then when the doors are shut, you can figure out what may have gone wrong or how something could have been done differently.”
